Why a Perfecting Session is Needed For All Permanent Makeup Services

(Brows • Lips • Eyeliner)

Permanent makeup is a two-step process. The initial session builds your foundation, and the perfecting session ensures long-lasting, even, and natural results.

1. Healing Changes the Color & Shape
    •    During healing, your skin naturally exfoliates and sheds. This can cause some areas to lose more pigment than others.
    •    The color you see immediately after your first appointment will fade up to 30–50% as the skin heals.
    •    A second session allows us to adjust the color, shape, and density once we see how your skin retained the pigment.

2. Every Skin Type Heals Differently
    •    Oily skin may push out pigment faster.
    •    Dry or mature skin can absorb pigment unevenly.
    •    Certain medications, health conditions, and aftercare compliance all affect healing.
    •    The second session balances these differences and fills in any spots that healed lighter.

3. Brows, Lips, and Eyeliner Each Require Layering
    •    Brows: Hair strokes or shading may heal lighter or softer in certain areas, so we refine strokes, add density, and perfect symmetry.
    •    Lips: Pigment often heals lighter or patchy after the first session because lips are vascular and constantly in motion. A second session evens out tone and enhances vibrancy.
    •    Eyeliner: The delicate eyelid skin can retain pigment inconsistently. The follow-up session ensures crispness, saturation, and evenness along the lash line.

4. Long-Term Retention
    •    Building pigment in layers is safer and produces more natural, longer-lasting results.
    •    A single session can look uneven or fade quickly, while two sessions ensure durability.
